Who Killed AKA

With AKA murder trial underway, the Gcaba family had denied allegations that they facilitated the hit on South African rapper AKA. According to the family, the R800k paid to Mziwethemba Gwabeni, one of the suspects in the case, was for a legitimate business and has nothing to do with AKA’s killing.

Mukltiple reports point to the said sum having been paid into Mziwethemba Gwabeni’s FNB account just hours before the hit.

AKA was gunned down on February 10th 2023, just hours after stepping out of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban. He was in the company of his associates, including his former manager Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, who was also killed with him.

Well, addressing the claims that the Gcaba family paid for AKA’s assassination, the family noted that the money paid into Mziwethemba Gwabeni’s account by Mfundo Gcaba was for a legitimate business and that wasn’t even unique, as previous payments have been made in the past. The family claimed bank records can prove the same. See the post below.

AKA’s death was a big shock to the Rainbow Nation, and to this day some people are still trying to process the tragedy of a point-blank shot through the head.
